Bertie M. Burson, a retiree of Carborundum Co., Niagara Falls, died Thursday in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was 91.
Mrs. Burson, known as "Bert," was born Bertie Morgan in Rockmart, Ga. She moved to Niagara Falls in 1942.
She worked at Carborundum for more than 30 years as a skiver, slicing material into strips. She retired in 1980.
Her husband of 62 years, C.B., known as "Red," died in 1992.
Survivors include three sons, James, Claude and Michael, and a daughter, Maxine Dorato, all of Niagara Falls; a brother, Jesse Morgan of Georgia; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
