FIVE AREA RESIDENTS FACE DRUG CHARGES

Five area residents -- including two from Buffalo -- were charged with possession and/or sale of crack cocaine Friday following a four-month investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.

Authorities were investigating trafficking of crack cocaine between Buffalo and Jamestown.

Arrested were:

Thomas A. Hall, 22, of Jamestown, for criminal sale of a controlled substance;

Demario T. Staples, 21, of Leroy Street, Buffalo, for criminal sale of a controlled substance;

Christopher J. Hall, 26, of Humble Avenue, Buffalo, for criminal possession of a controlled substance;

Aziza Q. Prunty, 22, of Jamestown, for criminal possession of a controlled substance;

and Richard A. Philbrick, 19, of Panama, on existing warrants in Jamestown for unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing marijuana.

Further charges are pending. All five were awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
