JULY 27, 1941 -- NOV. 25, 2004

Winston P. "Pat" Hayes, of West Buffalo Street, died Thursday in Wyoming County Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 63.

Born in Louisville, Ky., he worked for many years as a commercial painter. An avid fisherman and sports enthusiast, he was a fan of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon and University of Kentucky athletics.

Mr. Hayes was a member of the Wyoming County Veterans Club of Warsaw.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, the former Patricia Casselberry; two sons, Kenny Baker of Homer and Philip VanBuren of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; five daughters, Terri Baker of Deland, Fla., Liz Hess of Ormond Beach, Fla., Leslie Baker of Warsaw, Diana Zilinski of New Smyrna Beach, and Tammie Barrett of Tappahannock, Va.; his mother, Catherine Hayes of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, Jim Miller of Louisville; and 15 grandchildren.

Services will be held in Louisville.
