Gertrude C. Frank, a retired receptionist, died Tuesday in Wyoming County Nursing Facility, where she was a resident. She was 86.
Born in Buffalo, the former Gertrude Meyers attended Buffalo schools. She worked for many years at the former Twin Fair store on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, primarily in customer service at the returns desk. Later, she was a receptionist at the former Charter House restaurant on Transit Road.
A former resident of Cheektowaga, Varysburg and Akron, she was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.
Her husband of 29 years, Charles, died in 1975.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Cooper of Warsaw; a son, James of Cheektowaga; a sister, Dorothy Vella of Cheektowaga; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
