DEADLY FUMES LEAVE TWO SEEKING SHELTER

Fire officials were hunting temporary shelter through the Red Cross for two Cable Street adults whose furnace was turned off Thursday night because a carbon monoxide buildup, authorities said.

Officials from National Fuel Gas turned off the boiler at 133 Cable St. after detecting the deadly fumes at about 8:40 p.m., fire officials said.
