Services for Marie Sullivan, an active churchwoman, were held Wednesday in Trinity Baptist Church. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, West Seneca.
Mrs. Sullivan, 95, died last Thursday in the Erie County Medical Center Nursing Facility, where she had been a resident since 1997.
Born Marie Culpepper in Mayfield, Ga., where she attended schools, she moved to Buffalo in the 1940s and worked for the Curtiss-Wright Corp. She also was a volunteer at the former E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital.
A member of Trinity Baptist Church since she came to Buffalo, she served as youth supervisor, president of the Missionary Board and president of Pastor Aide. Mrs. Sullivan also was a teacher of the Youth Bible Class and a member of the Trinity Choir.
She was the widow of Robert Johnson Sr. and Samuel Sullivan.
Survivors include a sister, Annie Bundy of Buffalo; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
