Jaeckle Fleischmann and Mugel attorney Howard S. Rosenhoch will present at the New York State Judicial Institute Legal Update Seminar. Rosenhoch, a partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group in the Buffalo office, will present "Indemnification and the Labor Law."

Raymond James Financial Services branch manager Gene Chaas was admitted to the Paladin Registry, a new Web-based service that helps investors find, evaluate and select financial advisers. Admittance to the Registry is limited to the top ten percent of U.S. financial advisers based on their competency, integrity and various risk factors. Chaas, a CFA charterholder, is a 15-year veteran of the investment industry.

Cornell University re-elected Jay E. Brett, partner of Blair and Roache, to a four-year term on the Unviversity Council, an organization of selected alumni and friends providing leadership in service to the university.

Erie Community College's Annual Advisory Council honored John Hamm, director of quality assurance at People Inc., for his work with the Health/Physical Education and Recreation Department. Hamm, chairperson for the Health Physical Education and Recreation Department's Community Advisory Council, assisted with program and curricula changes involving the creation of a Physical Education degree that will meet national standards.
