TWO MEN ROB GROCERY OF $400, CIGARETTES

A grocery on Auburn Avenue was held up at gunpoint and robbed of money and cigarettes at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Buffalo police said Family Food Mart at 412 Auburn was robbed by a masked man who jumped over the counter and pointed a black pistol at the owner's head, saying, "You know what this is."

The robber then took about $400 in cash from the cash register and about 25 packs of cigarettes and one box of cigars from the store shelf, according to the report.

A second, unmasked man stood watch in the front of the store during the robbery. Both men then ran away.

Police interviewed two witnesses and recovered one cigarette pack.
