DAMAGE PUT AT $75,000 IN GETZVILLE KITCHEN FIRE

Amherst fire officials estimated damage at $75,000 as the result of a fire that erupted in the kitchen of a home at 31 Parliament Court, Getzville, about 8:30 p.m. Friday.

No one was home at the time, fire officials said. The fire, confined to the first-floor kitchen area, was declared under control in about a half-hour.

Officials listed the owner of the house as Mary Mancuso. The cause is under investigation.

Firefighters from Getzville and Snyder companies battled the blaze.
