VOLUNTEERS
COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS SEEKING HELP

Autistic Services is seeking volunteers to staff its gift wrapping booth at Walden Galleria during day and evening hours from Dec. 3 to 24. Individuals, high school and college students, as well as groups from religious organizations, social and senior clubs are welcome.

For information, call Cindy Fura at 631-5777, ext. 303.

Meals on Wheels of Buffalo and Erie County will also be wrapping gifts at Walden Galleria, Dec. 10 through Christmas Eve at a station located outside of Kaufmann's.

There are four or five shifts a day, and each is three hours long. The organization is in need of between 100 to 125 volunteers to make this year's fund raiser a success.

Those interested in volunteering can call Jen Enderle, the Orchard Park meal site manager, at 530-3267.

Also, the agency is preparing Blizzard Boxes containing canned goods for use in case of emergency and appealing to owners of four-wheel drive vehicles to assist with meal delivery. The boxes are distributed to approximately 150 recipients who are considered high risk or unable to purchase emergency food. In addition to providing services in Buffalo, the agency delivers meals. For further information, contact 822-2002.

For information on other volunteer activities, contact the Volunteer Center of the United Way at 887-2690 or visit its web site at www.uwbec.org.

Agencies and organizations looking for volunteers may submit requests to pvoell@buffnews.com or write to Paula Voell, The Buffalo News, P.O. Box 100, Buffalo, N.Y. 14240.
