FOUR MEMBERS OF FAMILY FLEE ROYALTON HOUSE FIRE

Four members of a family were forced to flee their house just after midnight Tuesday as flames and heavy smoke billowed from the windows, Niagara County sheriff's deputies reported.

Allen Doctor, 50, and his son's family, including an infant, escaped without injury, deputies said.

The two-story house at 6329 Wolcottsville Road was severely damaged, and the contents of the house were completely lost, said Chief Robert Groff of the Wolcottsville Volunteer Fire Company. Niagara County Fire Coordinator James C. Volkosh was investigating the cause.
