Dominick "Junior" Buccirosso Jr., a millwright at Delphi Harrison, Lockport, from 1972 until retiring in 1994, died Sunday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was 72.
He was born in Niagara Falls, attended local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
Mr. Buccirosso served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked in the maintenance department of Kimberly-Clark Corp. before working at Delphi Harrison.
Mr. Buccirosso was a member of the Cristoforo Columbo Society, was a golfer and enjoyed going to the casino and traveling. He also enjoyed collecting banks, books and model cars.
His wife, Frances A. Cavallaro Buccirosso, died in 2002.
Survivors include his fiance, Deborah M. Bosso of Niagara Falls.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1413 Pine Ave., after prayers at 9:45 in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Town of Niagara. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
