WOMAN, DAUGHTER HURT IN 3-VEHICLE COLLISION

A woman and her 5-year-old daughter were injured Friday afternoon when their car was struck by two vehicles at Tuscarora Road and Niagara Falls Boulevard, police said.

Dianne Havens, 35, and her daughter, Jenna, both of James Avenue, were taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after the 3:30 p.m. crash.

Officer Sal Paonessa said that Havens was southbound on Tuscarora Road, crossing Niagara Falls Boulevard, when another motorist ran the red light and his car hit her vehicle broadside, sending it careening into the path of another car.

A tire flew off the Havens vehicle and struck a fourth car.

No one inside the other vehicles was injured, police said.

Mark Heater, 31, of East Aurora, was charged with passing a red light and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

Paonessa said Heater's driver's license had been previously revoked.
