The outlook wasn't brilliant
for our Bills that cold fall day.
Fan hope was fast a-waning
and the Jets had come to play.
And looking at the records
it seemed we'd take a dive,
for the Jets had mustered six and one
and we were two and five.
We scored upon them early
but then they took the lead
The faithful sat in misery
dead certain we'd secede.
But we tied the game at halftime
then our fortune turned around:
McGahee ran with spirit
and our defense smote them down.
And then the fervor from the fans
was like in gloried past,
and the much maligned Drew Bledsoe
looked Kellyish at last.
So now we've won three of four
and hope's alive again,
but next we beard the lion
this evening in his den.
