Niagara County resumed making appointments for senior citizens to receive flu shots Wednesday after receiving 580 doses of vaccine from the state Health Department.
The waiting list already is sizable, Elaine Roman, county Health Department spokeswoman, said in a news release. The number for appointments is 278-1903.
The clinic times and places are not being publicized because they are by appointment only. Those receiving shots must be in high-risk categories and have a prescription from their doctors. Proof of county residency also is required.
The county is giving updates on the availability of flu shots on a special phone line: 439-7498.
