SUPER AUCTION -- The Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service's fifth annual silent ticket auction to benefit the blind will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Fontana's Banquet Center, 2440 Clinton St., West Seneca. Admission is $5 and includes 25 start-up tickets. Pop, coffee and snacks will be available.

The Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service's biggest fund-raising event of the year will feature hundreds of prizes ranging from sports tickets and movies to gift certificates and holiday collectibles.

Since 1987, the Reading Service has broadcast 145,000 hours of readings to people without sight. The daily readings by volunteers include newspapers, books and vital information to blind and print-handicapped people, who are provided special "reading radios." GOOD KNIGHTS -- The Erie County chapter of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club has donated $500 to Mercy Flight of Western New York, which has been transporting injured and ill people since 1981.

Dan Lelito, president of the local chapter of nearly 70 members, made the presentation to Mary Summers, director of development, and Skip Yuhnke, Buffalo paramedic crew chief, at the Mercy Flight hangar on Lake Shore Road in Blasdell. . . .

REUNION NOTE -- Mount Mercy Academy High School Class of 1994 will hold a reunion from 8 to 11 p.m. Nov. 27 in Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, 76 Pearl St., according to a note from Erin Culligan, reunion coordinator, who is a counselor at Francis C. Hammond Middle School in Alexandria, Va.

She said it's the "first official" reunion of the class. Tickets and information are available by calling 825-8796. . . .
