Dorothy N. "Dot" Smith, of Warsaw, a retired nurse's aide, died Tuesday in East Side Nursing Home. She was 95.
Born Dorothy Hinrich in Centerville, she was a lifelong Warsaw-area resident. She worked as an aide in East Side and Hillside nursing homes for many years.
She was a former member of Warsaw Lodge, Loyal Order of Moose. She enjoyed bingo and is remembered for her home-churned butter.
Her husband of 60 years, Robert Sr., died in 1995.
Surviving are two daughters, Pauline Vallance of West Henrietta and Priscilla Granger of Fillmore; three sons, Robert of Alabama, James of Hunt and Gary of Warsaw; two sisters, Marian Stephens of Warsaw and Lucille Wilcox of Silver Springs; 17 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Weeks Funeral Home, 123 N. Main St. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville.
