Americans Hank Kuehne, Chad Campbell, Zach Johnson and Chris Riley beat a foursome of international players on the first playoff hole in the inaugural Tommy Bahama Challenge in Scottsdale, Ariz. Part of the PGA Tour's Challenge Season, the event at Grayhawk Golf Club was limited to players 30 years or younger and used medal play scores to produce a match play result. The best score in each 18-hole match was worth one point, and the teams finished tied at 2-all.

Chandler Harper, who won the 1950 PGA Championship and was a major figure in Virginia golf for more than 70 years, died Monday. He was 90.

The Worcester IceCats will move to Peoria, Ill., next season after the sale of the AHL team by the St. Louis Blues is completed. The Blues' top minor league affiliate will be renamed the Rivermen.
