ARLENE E. FYE, OWNED USED FURNITURE STORES
FEB. 20, 1922 -- NOV. 5, 2004

Arlene E. Fye, who owned several used furniture stores in the Black Rock and Riverside neighborhoods of Buffalo, died Friday in Manors of Orchard Park after a lengthy illness. She was 82.

Born Arlene Hunt in Porter, she lived in Buffalo most of her life.

Mrs. Fye operated used furniture stores from the 1960s until the 1980s, retiring in 1987.

Her husband, James, died in 1980.

Survivors include three sons, Leland R. Berry of the City of Tonawanda, Paul E. Berry of the Town of Tonawanda and Anthony Caccamise Jr. of Buffalo; two sisters, Beatrice Waggoner of Lockport and Beverly Young of Edgewater, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in The Chapel, 895 N. Forest Road, Amherst.
