TWO MEN ARRESTED, DRUG CONFISCATED IN RAID

Two men were arrested after Buffalo police narcotics detectives raided a Frankfort Avenue drug house Friday and seized nearly three-dozen small bottles of high-grade marijuana, police said.

Terrence Z. Dennard, 30, of Wende Street, and Dmario Ledbetter, 31, of Martha Avenue, were each charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, felony criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Narcotics Detectives David Sugg and Johnny Walker broke down the door at 38 Frankfort just after 6 p.m., and found a box filled with the bottles in a bedroom closet, Sugg said.

Police said they also discovered crack cocaine and other marijuana in the house.

"The unusual packaging would indicate to us that it's not local," said narcotics Lt. Thomas Lyon.

Added Sugg: "We've never seen it packaged like that. By the smell, you can tell it's a very high quality."

Both suspects are in custody pending arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
