1490 Enterprises Inc. honored Broderick J. Cason, marketing and business development manager at Lifetime Health Medical Group, with the Black Achievers Award. Cason is secretary of the Board of Trustees for the Pinnacle Charter School and chair of the board for the Urban Services Network. He also is a committee member of the Near East Side Health Task Force, AIDS Community Services and the Community Action Organization/Health Services Advisory Committee.

The Buffalo Chapter of SCORE named Tom Lorentz, Main Mobility; Mark C. The National Republican Congressional Committee honored Raymond M. Goodrich, a long term care specialist with L&M Financial Services, with the 2004 Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal Award in recognition of his outstanding leadership in business, willingness to share his insight and expertise to forge a working partnership between business and government and for displaying a commitment to President Reagan's vision for an entrepreneurial America. L&M Financial Services is an Amherst-based financial planning and benefits program provider.

Repp Construction of Orchard Park was recently awarded the Chrysalis Remodeler of the Year for the Northeastern United States and for New York State at the Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling Excellence. Criteria for the award are based on the awardees contributions to professionalism and ethics in the remodeling industry and support of community organizations, along with consistently providing exceptional customer service and craftsmanship. COPC, an Amherst-headquartered authority on customer contact center and transaction processing services operations, was contracted by APAC Customer Services, a customer interactions solutions provider in Deerfield, Ill., to conduct a baseline assessment of its inbound customer service center in Tucson, Ariz.

Niagara Mohawk, a National Grid company, awarded a $5,000 grant to Junior Achievement of Western New York to sponsor JA high school programs and special events. Also, the 3M Foundation awarded a $525 grant to the nonprofit economic education organization. The contributions will be used to help support JA's goal of reaching 15,000 K-12 students in local classrooms and after school program sites during 200 4/2 005.
