Two residents of the Woodlands mobile home park on South Transit Road were robbed Tuesday of several rifles and shotguns, Niagara County sheriff's deputies said.
One victim said that at about 8 a.m., two men broke into his shed, pushed a rifle barrel into his mouth and demanded guns. The resident said he was struck with the rifle, a glass lamp and was beaten. The bandits made off with several rifles and shotguns, the man told deputies.
The second man was in his bedroom when robbed of a shotgun, Deputy Kevin Landrigan said. The victim was bitten on the shoulder during a struggle, he added.
Both bandits, who escaped on foot, wore black work jackets, boots and ski masks, deputies said.
Deputies said they also discovered several long guns, a handgun, a locked gun safe and drug paraphernalia at the scene. Further information was unavailable.
