Enrico Bruno "Rico" Massanti Sr. of Depew, a retired Westinghouse worker, died Monday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a long illness. He was 81.
Born in Lancaster, he was a graduate of Lancaster High School and served in the Navy for four years during World War II.
He was employed at Westinghouse Electric Corp. as a laborer for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1983.
Known for his friendliness and quiet nature, he enjoyed golfing and gardening.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, the former Gloria
D'Addario; three sons, Enrico II of Apple Valley, Minn., Michael of Buffalo and Dino of West Seneca; a daughter, Lisa Laffrado of Lackawanna; a sister, Louise Bielat of Lancaster; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Pacer Funeral Home, 2275 George Urban Blvd., Depew.
