Joan Amelia Nowlan, a former label maker, died last Wednesday in Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was 72.
The former Joan Danaher was born in London, England, and lived in Silver Springs. She worked for the former Champion Products in Perry as a label maker until the company went out of business in the 1990s.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Silver Springs, and was active in the Genesee Chorale in Batavia, the Perry Rotary Chorus and several Bible study groups.
Survivors include a son, Phillip of East Killingly, Conn.; three daughters, Teresa Crawford of Dalton, Donna Bauer of Canandaigua, and Colleen of Largo, Fla.; a brother, Patrick of England; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
