Julia Hall, counsel and researcher for Europe/Central Asia Human Rights Watch, will speak on what the Human Rights Watch is doing to relieve the brutalization of men, women and children in many nations at a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Monday for College Club of Buffalo in the clubhouse.
Norman Walker, retired chairman of the department of education and reading in Buffalo State College whose teaching and research emphasized the needs of students with reading disorders and how to correct them, will speak at a luncheon Nov. 8.
Books and recipes will be exchanged at a luncheon Nov. 22. A slide tour of Forest Lawn will be given by Patrick Kavanaugh at a dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 10. Breakfast by the Book group will discuss "Slaughther House Five" by Kurt Vonnegut at 10 a.m. Nov. 12, with Dorinne Ebel as the facilitator. A bridge luncheon is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and a creative writing workshop is planned for 10 a.m. Nov. 18.
