Dear Ralph: Seeing as how you have a coach who will not play his best players for fear of hurting the incumbent starters' feelings and a general manager who refuses to acknowledge his mistakes, we the fans must ask you to intervene. Drew Bledsoe is done! I know you see it, as we the fans have seen it, as the Patriots saw it three years ago. When has Drew ever led this team to a victory in the fourth quarter? Flutie did it. Even Rob Johnson did it in the playoffs if it weren't for a blown call/miracle.
How many times has Bledsoe taken us out of position to win a game in the fourth quarter? You don't have to think back too far to remember one of those games, do you? I don't think I have ever seen a veteran quarterback make more boneheaded rookie plays in the red zone than Bledsoe has. Even when he played well in the first eight games with the Bills, he still made dumb plays in the red zone.
So, Ralph, we are counting on you to do the right thing. Yeah, I know backup quarterback Shane Matthews is all we've got now, but how much does Matthews have to do to be better than Bledsoe? All he has to do is keep us in the game by not turning the ball over every time we have a chance to make a game of it. You said it yourself after the Jets game. This is unwatchable. Help us!
