PUBLIC MEETING PLANNED ON LIBRARY REFERENDUM

Lewiston Public Library will hold a public information meeting for residents to hear about the upcoming library referendum at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the library community room, 305 S. Eighth St.

The referendum, scheduled from noon to 9 p.m. Nov. 9, will decide the library's plan to become a special-district library.

Information will be offered on why the Lewiston library is pursuing special-district status, and a presentation of the proposed 2005 budget and statements by the candidates for library trustees will be offered. A brief question-and-answer period will follow.
