A private memorial Mass for Mary F. Beach was offered today in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam St., City of Tonawanda. Private burial was in White Chapel Cemetery, Amherst.
Mrs. Beach, 86, of Caneadea, died Wednesday in Jones Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Buffalo and for many years lived in the City of Tonawanda. She was a resident of Caneadea for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Beach graduated in 1937 from Tonawanda High School.
She was a former member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and caring for her plants.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 65 years, John J.; three daughters, Sandra Smith of Brooksville, Fla., Judith Fisher of North Tonawanda, and Debra Marley of Niagara Falls; four sons, Robert of Hamburg, Richard of North Tonawanda, and Thomas and Lawrence, both of the City of Tonawanda; two sisters, Virginia Dreyer of Daytona, Fla., and June Henn of St. Petersburg, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
