MAN SOUGHT IN ATTACK OF CHEEKTOWAGA WORKER

Cheektowaga police are looking for the man who sexually assaulted a retail business employee just after she reported for work the morning of Oct. 11.

The assault occurred in what police described only as a retail business in the Dick Road-George Urban Boulevard area. It was about 7:30 a.m. and the woman unlocked a back door, then went into an office.

She realized someone had come in through the unlocked door, and was confronted by the man who sexually assaulted her, police said.

The victim described the man as white, approximately 6 feet tall, with brown hair and eyes. He had a slender build and appeared in his late 20s or early 30s, and smelled of alcohol.

The man's hair was almost waist-length, curly and oily. He has a chipped front tooth.

Police said the victim gouged the man on the left side of his face, possibly leaving wounds beneath his beard.

He was wearing black pants with frayed cuffs and his knees showing through, tan work boots, a black T-shirt bearing a red and white emblem and a tan, waist-length hooded jacket.

Police said the man has been seen in the area before, wearing jeans and a baseball cap and always smelling of alcohol.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cheektowaga detective bureau at 686-3505.
