SKATEBOARD CONTEST: Come and Skate, an open skateboard event, will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today behind Miller Hose Fire Company, 2737 Main St., Newfane. Featured will be an open skate jam, an open class ollie contest and a best trick contest. A concert by Buffalo hip-hop group PseudoSlang is set for 3 p.m.
FARM TOUR: Dairy farmers in Niagara and Orleans counties are invited to tour the Gasport View Dairy Farm, 7823 Mountain Road, Gasport, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Monday and meet Dr. Jerry Bertoldo, a veterinarian who recently joined the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Niagara County. The informal tour of the expanding dairy facility will be conducted by the owners, Roger, Beth and Scott White.

HERITAGE PRESENTATION: Genealogist Marilyn Eddy Siperek will present a program focusing on nontraditional ways to research your Irish and Scottish heritage and how to organize a family heritage tour to Ireland or Scotland at 7 p.m., Tuesday at the Salamanca Public Library. It is hosted by the Cattaraugus County Genealogical Society.
