Services for Pearl M. Amos will be at noon Monday in Bethesda Full Gospel Church, 1365 Main St., near East Utica Street, after a wake at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Amos died Wednesday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. She was 79.
Born Pearl Cooper in Elizabeth, Pa., she graduated from McKeesport High School and came to Buffalo in 1954.
A housewife, she was married for 48 years to Austin Amos Jr., who died last October.
During the 1960s, she operated a small child care service out of her home.
Mrs. Amos sang in the church choir. She also loved to cook and bake desserts.
She is survived by two daughters, Ernestine Cooper-Rogers of Dewitt and Maxine Watson of Greensboro, N.C.; four sons, Matthew of Kershaw, S.C., Austin III of Heath Springs, S.C., and Gary and Richard, both of Buffalo; two sisters, Mabel Brooks of Glassport, Pa., and Viola Lockett of Buffalo; four brothers, James Cooper of Gould, Fla., Samuel and Floyd Cooper, both of McKeesport, and Eugene Cooper of Greensburg, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
