Matt Zemen scored four goals for Fredonia in a 6-3 hockey win over Buffalo State, spoiling the Bengals' home opener. The Blue Devils (2-1) also received goals from Adam Haberman and Joe Muli.

The Bengals (1-2) opened the scoring with a power-play goal from defenseman Sean Castagna, but Fredonia tallied the next three goals. Greg Prybylski (Cheektowaga) scored the other goals for Buffalo State.

The Buffalo State Invitational continues tonight in Buffalo State's Ice Arena with Fredonia facing Hobart. The event concludes Saturday.
