The University at Buffalo women's swim team rallied in the final events to edge St. Bonaventure, 154-146, Wednesday in the Alumni Arena Natatorium. The Bulls won four of the last five events to take the meet.
UB's Jennefer Brankovsky won three events -- the 500 free, the 200 free and the 200 IM. Laura Bull swept the 100 and 200 back, and Anneli Johnson (Frewsburg) won the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the Bonnies.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Mary Helak (Mount St. Mary) had 15 digs and 18 assists in Medaille's three-game loss to Penn State-Behrend. . . . Hilbert's Amanda Ellis (Arcade) had five kills and 12 digs in a four-game loss to Lake Erie.
MEN'S BASKETBALL: Single-game tickets for the Niagara University men's and women's basketball games will go on sale Monday at the ticket office in Dwyer Arena. Fans also can call 286-8622 to purchase tickets on that day. . . . Canisius College will hold a "Select a Seat Day" from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Koessler Center. Potential season-ticket holders will be able to choose their basketball seats as well as watch practices by the men's and women's teams.
WOMEN'S HOCKEY: Niagara's Candice Moxley has been named College Hockey America Offensive Player of the Week while teammate Ashley Riggs was picked as CHA Rookie of the Week. Both players had five goals over the weekend as Niagara swept Northeastern.
