STOLEN CREDIT CARDS LEAD TO FRAUD CHARGE

An Amherst man has been charged with three counts of forgery and criminal possession of stolen property in connection with his alleged use of a stolen credit card, state troopers reported.

Jeffrey J. Ebert, 22, of Burgundy Terrace, is accused of possessing several items of stolen property, including credit cards from vehicles in Amherst, Clarence and the Town of Tonawanda.

Troopers and Amherst police identified some of the property that was taken from seven victims, police said.

Ebert was also charged with violating his Erie County probation. Additional charges are also pending.
