Members of the task force that investigated and prosecuted the "Lackawanna Six" case were honored Wednesday by Rep. Jack Quinn, R-Hamburg.
In his downtown Buffalo office, Quinn presented a plaque to Peter J. Ahearn, special agent in charge of the Buffalo FBI office, and Bill O'Connor, an agent who supervises the Joint Terrorism Task Force of Western New York.
Members of the task force will receive parchment copies of a proclamation honoring them, which Quinn introduced in the House of Representatives in July. Quinn noted that 18 police agencies are represented in the task force.
"This is a perfect example of cooperation between law enforcement agencies," Quinn said.
