MAN REPORTS AN ATTEMPT AT ROBBERY BY ABDUCTORS

A local man told a sheriff's deputy he was the victim of an attempted robbery and unlawful imprisonment Wednesday afternoon.

The Upper Mountain Road resident said that as he walked behind Harry F. Abate School, 1625 Lockport St., Niagara Falls, a man in a car said, "Come here." Then, according to the resident, a male passenger said, "Come here. Do you have any money?"

After saying he had no money, the resident said, the passenger hit him and forced him into the trunk. He said he escaped from the men after the car stopped in a field in Lewiston and the trunk was opened.

The man said he then ran to a house on Upper Mountain Road, where he had a resident call 911.
