MAN ARRAIGNED IN KILLING OF FALLS BARTENDER, 24

Darren A. Bradberry was arraigned in Niagara County Court Wednesday in the shooting death of a Niagara Falls bartender Oct. 13.

Bradberry, 34, of Spruce Avenue, Niagara Falls, pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree murder and single counts of third-degree burglary and third-degree weapons possession.

Bradberry is accused of using a .45- caliber handgun to kill James A. Fadel, 24, who police said chased Bradberry outside the bar and struggled with him after a patron said Bradberry stole money from the office of Norm's Bar, 1951 Niagara St. The bar is owned by Fadel's father.

Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza set bail at $100,000 cash or $200,000 property and scheduled a tentative trial date of Feb. 28.
