Wales Supervisor Rickey Venditti said the Boys & Girls Club after-school day care program remains on hold until it can sign up more children.

Only eight children have been enrolled, and 10 are needed to make the program viable.

The program has had a rocky road this fall, when its program in the Wales Primary Building had to be canceled because the school needed the space.

The club looked to the town for space, which the town could provide only one day a week. The local fire company agreed to have the day care in its hall two days a week.
