DWI CASE JUDGE GOES EASY TO SAVE MAN'S JOB

A Franklin Avenue man was given a break by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza Wednesday so he wouldn't lose his job.

Roy A. Ritz, 40, was placed on five years' probation after he said he would lose his job if he went to prison for his guilty plea to a felony count of driving while intoxicated.

Sperrazza said Ritz, who was arrested May 25, must wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet for the first year of probation, although he can still go to work. He was fined $1,000 and ordered to perform 30 days of community service in the second year of his probation.
