AGENCY TO LAUD NOTABLES AMONG FORMER TENANTS

From judges to deans, previous residents of public housing will be honored Nov. 6 during the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority's 70th annual gala in the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.

Honorees are Stephanie Barber, vice president of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County; Brian Davis, Ellicott Common Council member; Dr. John Fabian; Erie County Executive Joel A. Giambra; Dr. Mary Gresham, dean of the University at Buffalo's Graduate School of Education and vice president for public services and urban affairs; L. Nathan Hare, executive director of Community Action Organization; Yvonne Hargrave, superintendent of Buffalo Public Schools; George Johnson, entrepreneur; LeRoi Johnson, attorney; City Judge Jeanette Ogden; Crystalea Burns-Pelletier, deputy Buffalo police commissioner; and JoAnn Tascurella-Tucci, real estate agent with Realty USA.

Bernard A. Tolbert, a Buffalo native, security chief of the National Basketball Association and former head of Buffalo FBI operations, will be the keynote speaker. Tolbert grew up in the Willert Park development, now known as A.D. Price.
