MARY LOUISE YUNGBLUTH, ACTIVE IN CHURCH <br> FEB. 5, 1916 -- OCT. 24, 2004

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Louise Yungbluth of Amherst will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 1317 Eggert Road at Main Street, Eggertsville. Burial will be in Williamsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Yungbluth died Sunday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. She was 88.

Born Mary Wick in Buffalo, she graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy

During the 1960s and '70s, she worked in sales at Wm. Hengerer department store.

She loved to play the piano and to bake.

Mrs. Yungbluth volunteered at Sisters Hospital and St. Vincent's soup kitchen. She was active at St. Benedict's Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Her husband of 58 years, Clyde F., died in 1990.

Survivors include three daughters, Janice Weiskopf of Clarence, Mary Ryan of Orchard Park and Lynn Gerlach of Williamsville; a son, Gregory of Williamsville; a brother, John Wick of East Amherst; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
