Joanna Colucci, a 40-year resident of Kenmore, died Monday in Sisters Hospital after a brief illness. She was 74.
Born Josephine Anna Buscaglia in Buffalo, she attended Sacred Heart Academy and Buffalo State College.
Mrs. Colucci was employed as a legal secretary for many years. At the time of her death, she had been working as a clerk in Tonawanda Town Court.
Family said that throughout her professional career she was a beloved colleague because of her wit and work ethic.
Her husband of 34 years, Alfred J., died in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Alfred M. of Hamburg; two daughters, Kristina M. of Cambridge, Mass., and Elisabeth M. of Kenmore; a sister, Mary Grace Madonia of Cheektowaga and Florida; two brothers, Fred Buscaglia of the Town of Tonawanda and Joseph Buscaglia of Buffalo; and two grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
