Mike Raisch, a junior at North Tonawanda High School, has an army of 37 volunteers, mostly friends from school, helping with his Haunted Back Yard this year, the fourth year he'll be scaring people for a good cause. When asked what's new this year, he said "I don't want to reveal everything, but there will be a lot more special effects." Money will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Last year's event raised $700. Hours are 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. tonight and Thursday, until 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 1449 Fairfield Drive, North Tonawanda. Admission is $4. The back yard won't be open Sunday because Mike couldn't get off work at the local pizzeria which has its "busiest day of the year" on Halloween, he reports. Any questions call 695-6119.
