A memorial service for Keith E. Fickett of Niagara Falls, a former gourmet chef and restaurant owner, was held Monday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Lewiston.
Mr. Fickett died Saturday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness. He was 62.
He was born in Niagara Falls and raised in Lewiston, where he graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1959. He served in the Army as a military policeman from 1960 to 1962.
After receiving a degree in food service management from Erie Community College in 1963, he owned and operated a restaurant in North Tonawanda called Paupers III until 1969. He was then a salesman for S.M. Flickinger Co. of West Seneca until taking early retirement for health reasons.
Survivors include a daughter, Brinton L. Fickett-Getz of Los Angeles, and a brother, Kevin E. MacMillan of Lewiston.
