A memorial Mass for William P. Smith, who developed call centers, will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 328 Washington Ave.
Mr. Smith, a Silver Creek resident, died Friday in Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, after a lengthy illness. He was 51.
A native of Dunkirk, he graduated from Cardinal Mindszenty High School in 1971 and Fredonia State College in 1975.
He was operations manager of Bright Planit computer consultants in Buffalo, where he organized and developed call centers, primarily in the United States and Canada. He was an automobile enthusiast and often traveled with friends to vintage car races.
Surviving are his father, Gerald of Dunkirk; a sister, Rebecca Conti of Fredonia; and a brother, Michael of East Aurora.
