WILLIAM G. SHEPARD <br> AUG. 25, 1920 -- OCT. 22, 2004

William G. Shepard , a former truck driver, died Friday in Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility, Warsaw. He was 84.

The East Bloomfield native was a lifelong area resident. He had been a truck driver with Blades Construction in Belfast.

Mr. Shepard was a member of Dansville Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, playing pinochle and going to horse- pulling competitions.

He served stateside with the Marine Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Hass; two daughters, Claudia Rosborough of Mount Morris, and Terri Forges of Portageville; two sons, David O'Hearn of Dalton and Kurt O'Hearn of Moravia; a brother, Clark of East Bloomfield; eight grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Springway Baptist Church, Weyland, at a time to be announced.
