SHELTON C. WILLS, HOME ELECTRICIAN <br> MAY 18, 1927 -- OCT. 19, 2004

Services for Shelton C. Wills will be at 1 p.m. today in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1424 Maple Road, Amherst. Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.

Mr. Wills, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Tuesday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 77.

A home electrician, he also drove a bus for the Ken-Ton School District. Before that, he was a security guard for General Motors Corp., retiring in 1986 with 38 years of service.

Born in Dunnville, Ont., he moved to Buffalo as a child and graduated from Seneca Vocational High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mr. Wills joined his church in 1971 and became a bishop and high councilman. He was ordained in May 2002 as a stake patriarch. From 1987 to 1989, he and his wife were missionaries in England.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Janice Strimple; three daughters, Linda L. Allgood of Rising Sun, Md., and Nancy L. and Tina M., both of the Town of Tonawanda; a son, Ronald P. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; a foster son, Arnold Hudson of Buffalo; two sisters, Helen Dilts of Saskatchewan and Marjorie Drews of Cheektowaga; a brother, Roger of District Heights, Md.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
