The U.S. Small Business Administration is seeking nominations for its 2005 Small Business Person of the Year Award.
Criteria include staying power, growth in employment, increased sales/unit volume, innovation, response to adversity and community contributions.
Champion awards are also presented to people who have helped to further public understanding and awareness of small business. Champion categories are: women in business, minority, veteran, family business, home-based business, financial services and journalist. Special awards are presented to the Small Business Exporter and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Nominations can be made by individuals or organizations, and must be received by the Buffalo district office by Dec. 3.
