WOMAN, TODDLER INJURED SERIOUSLY IN COLLISION

A Niagara Falls woman and her toddler daughter were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon, Niagara Regional Police reported.

Police said the 37-year-old woman was driving on Sixth Avenue at about 3:20 p.m. when an eastbound dump truck on Huron Street collided with her vehicle. The woman and her 3-year-old daughter were taken to Greater Niagara General Hospital with serious injuries.

The 53-year-old dump truck driver, also of Niagara Falls, was charged with a traffic violation, police said.
