SENECAS BREAK GROUND ON WELLNESS CENTER

Ground was broken Thursday for a $9.2 million Community Health and Wellness Center on the Seneca Nation's Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

The new 35,000-square-foot facility, which is scheduled to open in August, will be partially funded with revenue from the tribe's casinos, nation officials said.

The center will feature multipurpose rooms for exercise, learning and social gatherings. Programs to help families and individuals will be provided at the center.
